“I designed the collar and had a metalworker build it. I am a dog at heart and wanted a suitable collar to help me become a well-behaved and obedient dog. I have seen leather versions, but always thought that I could cut them off with a knife if I wanted. Here are some pictures:

“The collar is made from stainless steel, adjustable and of course lockable. It features a strong leash attachment point for walks, or to use with a tie-out chain, if I had been a bad dog, Master has the ability to keep me outside on a tie-out chain overnight.
“The electronic part is a Dogtra 2300NCP, which features a low to high output, 127 correction levels, Pager, 3/4 mile range, fully waterproof, quick recharge time. The receiver can be removed from the collar while it is locked on, and this allows Master to keep me chained in one spot while the receiver is removed for recharging. Security Torx screws hold the receiver in place. It is mainly designed to be used by two people: The one wearing the collar and the one holding the keys and remote.
“It looks severe, and it is certainly heavy. However, the main goal with the collar was to be impossible to escape from without the keys. Once it is one, there is no way to remove or turn off the collar. I’m under remote control until I’m released.
“I also have the ability to replace the remote controlled receiver with an invisible fence receiver. I then put the fence transmitter on a timer and lock on the collar once I am inside the containment area. I am then restricted to the area until the timer turns off the transmitter.
“The remote also feature a pager option, which vibrates the collar. This is very useful for Master, as I can be off doing my own thing anywhere on the place, and when Master needs me, he pushes the pager button twice and I have only a couple minutes to come to him before I get zapped. This is a very effective means of communication.”
